About the Award

The Qatar Entrepreneurship Awards is a national platform that recognizes and celebrates excellence and innovation in the field of ICT/Digital in Qatar & the wider region. It serves as an initiative to promote entrepreneurship & support the growth of digital startups in the country. Qatar University (QU), the Center for Entrepreneurship & Organizational Excellence (CEOE), at the College of Business and Economics hosted the Award in partnership with regional consulting and technology firm HyperThink Systems. The QEA awards ceremony aims to recognize the growing startup ecosystem in Qatar and the prominent local entrepreneurs and promising startups in the country. The awards are important to encourage more innovation and to realize the potential of entrepreneurs in Qatar.

Terms and Conditions

  • 8 Categories are open to only Qatari-founded companies, 2 Categories are open regionally, and 1 category is exclusive to QU faculty & students.
  • Submissions should be based on achievements made during 2022 and 2nd Quarter of 2023
  • Only one winner for each category will be awarded.
  • One company can apply in all categories but cannot win in more than one category.
  • Any missing mandatory information will result in rejection and rejections will not be informed during the evaluation process.
  • All material submitted will remain confidential.
  • The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entry not accompanied by the appropriate supporting documentation.
  • The judges' decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into before or after the judging.
  • No feedback on the submissions will be provided.
  • Entries not made through the online submission system will not be accepted.
  • The winners of each category will be announced at the presentation of the Awards under no circumstances will the details be disclosed before that time.

The eligibility criteria vary for each award category. Some categories are open to Qatari-founded companies, while others are open regionally or exclusively to Qatar University faculty and students. Please refer to the specific category details for eligibility requirements.
To submit your application, visit the “…..” section on our website. Follow the instructions provided to complete and submit your application for the desired award category.
Yes, your company can apply for multiple award categories if it meets the eligibility criteria. However, please note that a company cannot win in more than one category.

October 28, 2023

A panel of judges will review the applications and select top 3-5 finalists for each category based on specific criteria. Finalists will be notified by email and invited to present their business in front of the judges. Winners will be selected based on the judges’ evaluation.
